Oh, in other news:
[prox:tacolinux:23:53:19]% gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 3.2.2 20021231 (Debian prerelease)

Yay Debian!
Finally had some success with the ATI Radeon Mobility M7 LW chip in my laptop. Apparently Mesa has a bug and thinks that Pentium 4's have the 3DNow! instructions. I've update the Linux on a Fujitsu E-7110 page.
Also picked up a new LinkSys CF Wireless card for my Zaurus, no more annoying stylus blocking!
Ok, I just wrapped up a 'working' copy of the 'persistant navigation' version of my site. Right now, all the links on the top of the page will continue to stay on top as you browse those links. The only ones I have yet to change are phpsysinfo and the guestbook pages. Since I wrote the guestbook in Perl back in the day, I'll wait until I take the class to dive into it again.
As you might have read, the transition to gcc-3.2 in Debian SID will be taking place today. I'll be upgrading of course, since I like to run the bleeding-edge software. I don't anticipate anything on my system breaking, since the only thing I can consciously recall that's written in C++ is ImageMagick.
I look forward to using a recent version of Konqueror on my system, maybe KDE 3.xx packages will be out shortly...
Well, I'm finally getting around to putting a persistant (and common, I might add) navigation system on the various pages of my site. Hopefully it'll be done by the time the site is back online...
In other news, the snow stopped :(
It's snowing here, finally! Maybe I'll get to practice shoveling snow at home to get ready for the return to New York this weekend...
After messing with ACPI on my new laptop a bit, I finally got some processor frequency scaling working correctly. A P4 running at 300Mhz is such a slug!
I updated the Linux on a Fujitsu Lifebook page with current content.
Glad to report that this page almost complies with the HTML 4.01 standard. Almost, because due to a number of snafu's in the SQL+PHP interface for my news updates, most of the link href's are unquoted. This is annoying, to say the least. I'm in the process of fixing them, but most likely they will just become "old news" and not show up anymore by default.
Oh, yea, did I mention HAPPY NEW YEAR?
