So, that new Fujitsu laptop is rejecting my attempts at getting Linux to work properly on it.  I've made up a page documenting what works and what doesn't.

Oh, yeah.  According to UPS's online tracking service, my new laptop will be arriving tomorrow.  For those of you who care, the specs are as follows: P4/2Ghz, 256MB DDR-SDRAM, 60GB HDD, 15" LCD (1400x1050), CD-RW/DVD Combo.  It's a Fujitsu E-Series Lifebook.  I'll see if I can post a summary of how everything works out with Linux...

The main page has been redone from scratch.  I hope nobody really notices though, nothing style-wise changed, only the underlying code.

Since apparently atlantis died sometime around Christmas, I'm taking advantage of the downtime to redo parts of the site.  Stay tuned...oh wait, you can't...

Hmm, appears RPI is replacing some hardware at the VCC (computing center).  According to this, networking will be down basically Friday night to noon on Saturday.  I guess you can live without my website until then!

It appears the RA of my building at RPI has been nice enough to let people keep computers on over the break.  That means the site won't go down and DNS will stay 100% online.  Heh, that's good for mail I'd say ...

Yay, home for winter break.  Um, since I oversimplified the routing in my VPN once again, I am forced to use pconn to route traffic to my webserver through my WAN link (grr optonline).  Basically, the polls won't work, and it'll look like everybody is coming from 10.3.254.2.

Maybe I'll work around it, but nobody really cares, right?  You'll be elsewhere this holiday than stuck in front of your computer I hope!

If anybody's interested, I've put some random pics that Rob took of our IED project.  Too bad we didn't get a group photo.  Nothing really worked at the end, but we had fun.
