This is pretty unbelievable:

The Cisco Catalyst Express 500 Series switches are designed for ease of use.  The switch is initialized through the GUI device manager-no console cable or terminal emulation application is needed.

That's taken from the Catalyst Express 500 data sheet.  Why would Cisco make a switch with no out-of-band management?

I'm still waiting for some FreeBSD-powered switches from Juniper.
