I didn't fully realize how out of shape I was until yesterday, when I played a full four hours of paintball. It was great fun since there were at least 12 of us at all times, and I think I had a couple good plays. Reminded me of the brief times when I played Raven Shield. Now, it would be nice when these sore spots go away. Time to join a gym w/a pool, I guess, too ...
I figured out why my Gentoo Linux boxen continued to revert to DST (-400) time regardless of what my /etc/localtime was symlinked to. Check out the defaults in /etc/conf.d/clock:
# If you want to set the Hardware Clock to the current System Time # during shutdown, then say "yes" here. CLOCK_SYSTOHC="no"
Changing that variable to "yes" seems to fix the problem.
