Well, tacolinux is now 2.4.14 as of yesterday evening. And...I'm already disappointed. The memory handling reminds me of 2.4.9 and earlier; my swap usage is way too high (bout 45% utilized) and my mem usage is almost full. Granted, the web server has ~174 children and I'm running VMWare 3.0 with 192mb allocated. But still, this didn't happen with 2.4.10. This is the first time in awhile that I've seen X redraw when I unlocked it.
On the other hand, the soundcard swap was kinda successful. SB Live! 5.1 works nice on Linux, and the SB16 doesn't mess up on windows like the Live did before. Oh well, all good.
