So, the fall semester has finally started.  Classes are ok it seems, although IED might require more time than I'd like to give it.

As you might have noticed recently, atlantis/proserv has been taken down, due to administrative issues at RPI.  The machine atlantis.prolixium.com still runs, however I've classified it as "expendable" since the connection could be cut at any point.  Only trivial services are hosted now.

In other campus-related news, the RPI-ACM installfest was a success, enabling students to install GNU/Linux or *BSD on their new IBM ThinkPad T30 notebooks.  There will be a LAN party within the next couple of weeks sponsored by SIG-Linux.  Stay tuned to that site or www.rpi-acm.org for further details and dates.  The next ACM general meeting will be held next Tuesday at 8pm in Lally 102, topic will be geek jeopardy.  Just thought I'd share some news :)
